Descriptions of Goods

We provide short descriptions of the products we sell, but not the full specifications. For detailed information about the products please refer to the manufacturer's catalogues or web-sites or contact us before purchasing.

Manufacturer's Guarantees For Pens and Propelling Pencils

All products supplied are covered by the terms and conditions of the manufacturer's guarantee or warranty for their stated period. These specifically exclude faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse. In addition, routine maintenance, consumables and cosmetic damage are not covered. The appropriate guarantee or warranty documentation will be sent out with your writing instrument.

Returns and Cancellations policy

We will check all pens prior to sending them out for scratches or other visible defects, and package them so as to prevent damage in the post. We cannot of course put ink in the pens and test them fully prior to postage. In the rare event that the writing instrument you receive
is deemed faulty, you can return it for replacement, refund or servicing under the terms of the manufacturer's warranty or guarantee. Please return the faulty goods (by Royal Mail Special Delivery or in person) and contact us, if possible with a description of the fault, as soon as possible.

If the writing instrument or other
goods are not faulty, but they are not what you expected or you are unhappy with them in any way, we will also accept them back, provided you contact us within 7 working days of receiving the order to let us know that you are cancelling the order and will be returning the goods and we receive them back in the same unused and good condition that we sent them to you. This returns policy does not apply to Cross engraved pens. Please do not put ink in any fountain pen you are returning on these grounds. You do not need to give a reason for your cancellation.

In either of these cases, you can contact us by phone on 01782 222 111 or by e-mail on books@webberleys.co.uk. We will refund reasonable postage and packaging costs incurred in returning the goods to us; please use Royal Mail Special Delivery Service. Refunds will be made to the credit or debit card originally used in payment for the order, as soon as possible but within 30 days of your cancellation and return of the goods.

Please be aware that we will not accept repeat orders from customers who abuse this returns policy. We reserve the absolute right to decline to accept any order at our sole discretion.

Orders can be cancelled if the goods have not yet been dispatched. Cancelled orders will be refunded in full. Please phone us on 01782 222 111 to cancel an order.

Ordering

For goods that can be purchased online please add the item to the shopping basket and go to checkout. You will be required to log in to your Paypal account, if you have one, to complete the payment process through Paypal’s system. If you do not have a Paypal account you can create one either on the checkout page or on the Paypal web site. A PayPal Account is required to purchase goods from us online.

In stock?

We have listed products on the site which we typically have in stock in multiple numbers. All fountain pens listed come with the standard medium sized nib. We will do our best to ensure that the information on the web site is up-to-date. However, we cannot guarantee that everything on the web site is in stock at all times. The assistant will be able to confirm whether or not the item is in stock if  you order it over the phone and hence, the likely delivery time. If we do not have an item in stock and have to order an item from our supplier, e.g., a pen with a non-standard nib, we will inform you of the likely date of delivery. In all cases, the goods will be delivered to you within 30 days unless otherwise agreed between yourself and us. If there is a non-agreed delay of more than 30 days, you have the right to cancel your order and we will refund any money paid by you for the goods.

Order Tracking

If you would like to know the current status of your order, please e-mail books@webberleys.co.uk.
